Working for youth employability, specialists in vocational training placements
YouNet and IFOM (Institute for Training, Employability and Mobile learning) are respectively a non-profit organization active in the field of education, training and youth and a VET centre. YouNet and IFOM cooperate closely to achieve their common mission: strengthen young people’s employability and facilitate their transition to the labour market. We hold extensive experience in vocational training placement and our international team of experts combines field expertise with passion and a proven track record of successes.
We believe in work-based mobility as a tool to fight youth unemployment, and as a bridge between school and work. We help the companies to receive the vocational students and support the schools, learners and teachers to make the best of the opportunities provided by the Erasmus+ programme, notably in undertaking traineeships and training abroad.
We have a broad experience in European programmes and have successfully received and sent over 2 thousand young people, teachers and educational staff for work placements, training courses and job-shadowing especially in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme and in the European Social Fund.
We work as a network in the Italian territory where we cooperate with public institutions, SMEs and large companies, VET centres, schools, universities and other formal and non-formal education institutions. We are the founders and coordinators of a consortium of VET schools that aims to provide higher quality and accessibility to apprenticeship and work-based learning schemes both at national and European level.
We cooperate closely with local and regional institutions. Through a formal agreement with the Europe Direct point, the Bologna municipality and the Emilia-Romagna region YouNet runs an infopoint to orient, empower and coach citizens interested to go abroad for training, work or volunteering experiences.
We support and participate in the European Alliance for Apprenticeships that brings together public authorities, businesses, social partners, vocational education and training providers, youth representatives, and other key actors to promote apprenticeship schemes and initiatives across Europe.
We regularly organize structured 1-week training courses as well as longer teaching assignments and job-shadowing for teachers, headmasters, trainers and other educational staff. We're actively supporting entrepreneurship education and social business running a substantial number of projects and activities in this field. In particular we cooperate with the EURES network and participate in the pilot action “Your First EURES Job” and in the scheme Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT US:
"YouNet was our host partner in the Erasmus+ mobility project. They arranged lodging, local transport, provided work placements in great hotels and restaurants in Bologna, guaranteed guidance, support and conducted weekly evaluations. They were available in case of any problems, provided feedback and also organ ised a socio-cultural programme with amazing trips. Cooperation with YouNet, especially with Paulina Walacik, was excellent."
